Abstract


This community service project focuses on spreading awareness about health care programmes in both rural and urban areas. We choose this topic because we felt that health awareness is one of the most important needs in our society today. While some people are well-informed, many still don’t know about the basic health schemes and precautions that can actually help them live safer and healthier lives. That’s why we decided to interact with the public and understand their awareness levels regarding three important topics like the importance of polio drops, and the benefits provided by the Ayushman Bharat scheme, Janani Suraksha Yojana, National Tuberculosis Elimination Program, POSHAAN Abhiyaan. As a team we prepared a survey and visited different areas to personally talk to people from different age groups, backgrounds, and the communities. We noticed that urban areas were slightly more aware, while rural areas had more doubts and hesitation. So, we explained things in simple terms, cleared misconceptions, and encouraged them to take health seriously. This helped us understand public perception and how basic awareness can make a big difference. Through this project, we learned about real-life challenges, improved our communication skills, and became more socially responsible.
